Mr.
Dunlap has been involved in the structured settlement business since 1988. Prior to that
he was a stock broker at Kidder Peabody working with bank trust departments and pension
plans. His life/annuity license is domiciled in Minnesota, with insurance licenses in many
other states. Besides being insurance licensed, he is a registered representative and
certified to teach in secondary Minnesota schools. He has been trained as a Special Needs
Trust Advisor.
Mr. Dunlap is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade
Association, the Twin Cities Claim Association, and the claims associations in both North
and South Dakota. Tom has been a guest lecturer to many groups, including claims
associations, attorney continuing education classes, paralegal groups and insurance
company advanced adjuster education seminars. He has numerous insurance company clients,
as well as many self insureds and attorneys.
Mr. Dunlap believes in the old fashioned approach to settling claims,
face to face. He has been involved in many settlement conferences, mediations and
negotiations, and travels extensively to visit personally with claimants. He feels this
provides him the edge in creating the best structured settlements for the claimant's
needs. Many have found this to be of extreme importance and help.
Mr. Dunlap has been involved in the Minnetonka community baseball and
hockey associations, past President of the PTO at the Minnetonka Middle School, teaches at
All Saints Lutheran Church, trustee of the Winona State University Foundation and has been
involved in the Minnesota Lightning AAA hockey club.
