NSSTA, an association of structured settlement brokers, has again protected the
rights of claimants to receive structured settlement benefits by assisting the
state of Florida in drafting their soon-to-be-signed Malpractice Reform Bill. The legislation preserves claimant's rights to
periodic payments. This is an important event, as past Periodic Payment
statutes have negated the use of structures.
